Art Group Project
The team addresses the impact of discriminatory city policies, such as redlining which has left Logan Heights underinvested. Our goal is to challenge distortions and showcase the vibrant community within.

About
Focusing on exposing gentrification and erasure, we emphasize crucial venues that house storytellers along commercial streets that host diverse community events and murals around Logan Heights. Our commitment to building authenticity through visual arts involves amplifying community voices to communicate, preserve, and celebrate the genuine essence of Logan Heights.

Project Details
The art project shifted its focus towards interviewing artists and business owners spotlighting the diverse array of artists nestled within Logan Heights. Among these features, we showcase the works of a
local tattoo parlor, a custom shoe designer, and a sustainable health and beauty business owner who also works as an event curator for a community hub in the Logan Heights area. This documentary not only serves to celebrate individual artisans but also to illuminate the rich tapestry of creativity thriving within the community.

Product
The end product is a screening of the documentary at The Soap Factory, a community hub located in Logan Heights, on May 10th to celebrate the voices featured in the film and the community together. With this documentary, we hope to introduce Logan Heights to residents of the greater San Diego area, including the UC San Diego family.
